Hey there, I'm Tyson.

I've always been more interested in understanding the problem than jumping to the solution.

Whether I'm designing a product, leading a team, or shaping digital strategy, my work starts the same way: listening, asking questions, and understanding how people actually work. The best digital experiences aren't created in Figma or built in code first—they're built through curiosity, collaboration, and a shared understanding of what really needs to be solved.

Over the past two decades, I've worked across UX, product, branding, and digital strategy in startups, agencies, and enterprise organizations. Along the way I've built UX teams, design systems, enterprise web platforms, and product operating models. While the work has changed, the goal hasn't: create clarity where there's complexity and help organizations build digital experiences that people actually enjoy using.

One of the things I enjoy most is connecting people who don't always speak the same language. Designers think differently than engineers. Marketing sees the world differently than product. Leadership has different pressures than the teams doing the work. Some of my most rewarding work has come from helping those groups find common ground and move forward together.

I still love the craft. I enjoy sketching ideas on a [virtual] whiteboard, digging into research, giving design feedback, and exploring new technology. For me, leadership never meant stepping away from the work—it meant creating the environment where better work can happen.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me behind a camera, on the golf course, at the beach, or chasing ideas for my next project. I'm endlessly curious by nature, and I believe that's been the most valuable skill I've developed. Every opportunity, every conversation, and every challenge is a chance to learn something new.

If you're looking for someone to simply make things look better, I'm probably not the right fit.

If you're looking for someone who enjoys asking better questions, connecting perspectives, and helping teams build better digital experiences, I'd love to connect.

What I believe:

  • Curiosity beats assumptions.
  • Simple is harder—and worth it.
  • Design is a team sport.
  • Coffee is essential.
  • The best ideas can come from anywhere.
